Nebraska Panhandle drought

Southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska are staring at a dangerous early melt disaster after the latest drought bulletin said snow below 9000 feet disappeared about six weeks early and 30% to 50% of the snowpack is already gone.

Southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle are heading into a dangerous April after the latest drought statement said soil moisture has dropped into the 5th to 10th percentiles across most of the High Plains, with crop water deficits already showing up.
